The DeKalb County Fire Dept. has just celabrated their 2007 awards banquet. We would like to thank everyone that came out!! Congratulations to the following: Shawn Puckett - Rookie of the year Mark Young - Firefighter of the year And Anthony Boyd - "Git-r-Done" Award We also want to congratulate our newest honorary life time members: Chief Donny Green County Mayor Mike Foster Former Chief Larry Evans Also, thanks to the following for their length of service: Billy Crymes, Calvin Martin, Jimmy Martin, Billy Parker, James Pennington, Tim Reynolds, Kenneth Waggoner, and Philip Waggoner were all awarded the five year service pin. Ronald Merriman received his ten year service pin. A fifteen year service pin was presented to Wayne Adcock Bob Rice accepted his twenty year service pin A thirty year service pin will be presented to Hugh Washer. Our gratitude is extended to: Smithville Church Of God for allowing us to use their facilaty, And Kilgore's for their catering service, it was great!!

We're all pretty excited to see the new addition to the main station taking shape. As it stands now, drains are installed and the frame is up. Hopefully, it won't be much longer till we can see a completed product.
